Fall Into Music Bingo was a success! Several students have turned in a BLACKOUT and we will be drawing one lucky winner to receive a $20 Chick-Fil-A gift card at the end of the week. Thank you for helping your student over the month of October.
It is hard to believe we are moving into November, aka CHRISTMAS time! 🎄 Okay, yes, there is Thanksgiving in there and I do love celebrating the many things we have to be thankful for!
We are THANKFUL for you, our Selah families.
Please make note, the studio is closed over Thanksgiving. We will be sending home lots of practice items though, since our Christmas Recital Party is just around the corner.
Please REGISTER through the portal for the recital time that works for you. The goal is for your student to have his or her Christmas piece memorized so they will not need to bring anything to the informal, in-house, Christmas Recital Party. Students should be receiving Christmas music soon. However, if you have a Christmas book, please bring it to your next lesson.
Christmas music is typically familiar and fun to play. We are happy to give out one copy of music for the recital piece, but a Christmas book could be a fun purchase for your young musician to have to play over the holidays. Here are some we recommend: Christmas Books Choose the level based on what your student is currently in.
Some of our intermediate and advanced students will have the opportunity to use their talent to bring joy to the residents of Mill Pond and Sunny View on Sunday, December 10th. Your teacher will be requesting students over the next few weeks. The facilities will be limiting us to 20 performers but parents are welcome to come and stand in the back. So, while we would love to take everyone, we really can’t. If this is something you want your intermediate or advanced student to get to participate in, make sure to communicate that to your teacher. Also, if you know your student will not be available, let your teacher know. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to investing in our community!
As the weather cools off ⛄ there are a couple of items I want to remind you of. Since it is going to be cold outside it is important that you not arrive too early or you will be stuck in the cold. Try to come in right at your lesson time so as to not interrupt the lesson before you.
Per our policies we do not have set make-up times. We are happy to have students switch lesson times, so if you see an open spot on the calendar through the portal, you can register for that time if you have missed or need to miss a lesson.
If the roads are bad and you want to switch to a virtual lesson, please let your teacher know. We do not want anyone driving in dangerous weather and we are happy to accommodate a virtual lesson.
Thank you for continuing to encourage a 5 STAR lesson week by establishing a routine for practice. The investment in your student will go further with a disciplined practice habit. There is a major difference between students who practice 10-20 minutes daily and students who “forget” to read their journal and practice adequately.
Happy FALL YALL,
